   PROFESSIONAL PROFILE / /   

​

Formerly taught by Dr. Scott Pool at the high school level, Stuart Young went on to receive the bachelors of music in performance from Lawrence University in 2019, Under the instruction of Professor Carl Rath and guidance of Lawrence faculty, Young acquired well-rounded skills in performance, composition, arranging, and music education.

​

Stuart Young found work in the 2020-2021 academic year as an adjunct professor of bassoon at Saint Norbert College. By then Young had gained a strong reputation for his stellar performances alongside musicians in De Pere, Appleton, Menasha, Neenah, and Oshkosh -- most reputably performing alongside the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra.  

 

Having received his Masters in Bassoon Performance in 2024 from the University of Denver, Stuart Young has made impressions in the Denver, Colorado Springs, and Boulder communities performing alongside classical artists, bluegrass bands, and jazz groups.
